When we were first approached with the idea of digitally transferring a mural that was over 60 feet long, we jumped at the opportunity to showcase our talent and capabilities.

This was by far one of the most challenging and unique projects undertaken by our company. Very few companies are capable of such a feat, and the results simply speak for themselves. The challenge was to digitally transfer a 60’ mural to three other franchises, quickly and without the prohibitive cost of recommissioning the art work repeatedly.

"An outstanding first rate job! They simply couldn't have done better. People walk in and immediately say how much they love the mural."

The medium chosen was canvas, as this would give the final mural more of an artistic look than a painted wall and would ensure the creation of the proper restaurant atmosphere. We immediately went to work surveying the existing mural and the locations it would be transferred to. Once the locations had been surveyed work commenced on the digital transfer of the mural, a process that would allow the mural to be manipulated.

Because the mural had been painted on wood panels, by digitally manipulating the images we were able to remove the seams and correct for any dirt or grime that had adhered to the mural over time. In addition, as the size of the murals final resting place changed from location to location, with the use of digital files we were able to re-size and crop the image to fit each wall.

When all the corrections were made, the mural was printed out and adhered to the wall. Mobius Studios has developed a unique adhesive procedure that allows the print to be placed on the wall without damage.

Once the mural was treated and placed on the walls giving the restaurant acquired completely new look and enhanced ambiance.

"What's amazing is that the entire mural is on canvas, and you can still wipe it down, which is vital if you're in the restaurant business."
